"Sretch hood" films: These unite the tubular forms of the shrink and stretch films. As a result of its specific composition, this film has an elasticity which permits it to be tightly "fitted", whilst cold, directly onto the pallet. This is done using specific machinery (see film), thereby guaranteeing a perfect hold.
This film is ideal for large-scale production lines, and provides significant savings, since its use does not require the administration of heat, thus avoiding unnecessary heating costs. Consequently it has the utmost respect for the environment. This film has a better hold on the package compared to the classic shrink films, and does not produce the microfibres which are a by-product for example of an incorrect application of heat. It is used in multiple sectors, and is particularly suited to products loaded onto pallets, which cannot be run through ovens.
